The STR750F
microcontrollers with dedicated motor control peripherals
and powerful ARM7TDMI™ core offer the computing power
developers need for vector based control of 3-phase brushless
motors.
For developers of STR750F-based motor control
applications, the STR750 Motor control starter kit
(STR750-MCKIT) provides a complete development platform
with all the hardware and software required to get applications
started on the right foot, and shorten time to market by allowing
developers to apply what they learn in the evaluation phase
to real-world applications.
The kit comes ready to run a PMSM motor (included)
or AC induction motor (accessory). simply power up the application
hardware and explore all the different motor control parameters
either in "Stand-alone" mode or using the included graphical
interface while connected to a host PC. The Segger J-Link
is included in the kit for connection to a host PC via a standard
20-pin JTAG connection. When connected to a host PC, the opto-isolation
board provides galvanic isolation for the host PC and development
tools on the 20-pin industry-standard JTAG connection.

The kit includes PMSM and AC induction motor control
libraries to facilitate implementation of the family's motor control
peripherals. The libraries can be built using the Free
IAR
Embedded Workbench (EWARM) KickStart edition (32K code-size
limited), which includes the IAR C/C++ compiler.
When users are ready to develop their own applications,
the kit also serves as a platform for developing fully functional
motor control applications without having to create a hardware design
from scratch. The kit includes the application C sources, which
can be modified, rebuilt and debugged with the included Segger J-Link
and a development environment for ARM.
