Currently found in contactless payment, access control and public transport ticketing systems, NFC technology is a convenient, always-on short-range wireless link that is driving the growth for convenient pairing, diagnostic readout, data tracking, and parameter setting use cases in Consumer, Industrial, Automotive and Medical applications.

The ST25 tags and dynamic tags use the 13.56 MHz HF band. They are compliant with ISO/IEC 14443A or B  and ISO/IEC 15693 and NFC Forum standards and offer a range of EEPROM memory sizes from 512-bit to 64-Kbit.

The ST25 readers add as well the 840-960 MHz UHF band and, ISO18092, ISO18000, ISO29143 FeliCa, NFC Forum, EMVCo & PBOC compliances with very high bit rate and up to 1.4W output power.

ST offers a comprehensive range of tools to evaluate and develop NFC/RFID solutions: NFC Discovery starter kits, NFC STM32 Nucleo MCU expansion boards, ST25 reference software and antenna design tool.
