SCRs are switching devices used in pulse mode or half-wave bridge circuits. With RMS current ratings up to 50 A and voltage ratings up to 1200 V, ST’s SCRs are available in a large range of though-hole and surface-mount packages. Sensitive SCRs are easy to drive, thanks to their very low gate current triggering. They are suitable for low-power applications where low consumption is mandatory.
Standard SCRs are ideal for general-purpose switching applications, including battery-voltage regulation, crowbar protection in power supplies, and motor control.
