The latest extension to the AC switch range features the SMBflat package, which is smaller than SOT-223 and is aimed at the 0.8 A device range, SCRs, Triacs and ACS types. The PCB can be designed so the SMBflat and SOT-223 are fully interchangeable for increased production flexibility.
