The HCMOS devices of this class are ideal for low-power and high-speed 3.3 V applications. They can be interfaced to the 5 V signal environment for inputs in mixed 3.3/5 V systems and have the same speed performance at 3.3 V as 5 V standard devices, combined with a lower power consumption. All inputs and outputs are equipped with protection circuits against static discharge, giving them immunity to 2 kV ESD and excess transient voltage.
