ST sensors are developed with dedicated in-house processes, using high-performance technology (65nm, 45nm) available in ST 12" and 8" manufacturing facilities or from a 12" foundry partner.
ST sensors can be provided either in die format or in wafer level package using ST's proprietary TSV (Through Silicon Via) process capability, ideal for low-cost reflowable camera modules.
Image quality is the heart of ST sensor development. We focus on customers needs and help them to achieve the best solution. We offer the largest range of EDoF (Extended Depth of Field) sensors enabling auto-focus capabilities using a fixed-focus system.
EDoF is one of the multiple areas where ST system know-how and expertise can be demonstrated. As well as enhancing depth of field, ST EDoF sensors can be used for a large variety of applications from low-cost "digital auto-focus" to bar-code reading and/or character recognition.
ST offers a wide range of Bayer or SOC type sensors, in different optical format, all benefiting from ST imaging know-how in term of pixel, process or ISP development.
