The ST7540 and ST7538 power-line transceivers are already widely adopted worldwide for command and control applications including large-scale automatic meter reading systems and home and building automation solutions.

ST is now offering STarGRID™ , a new breakthrough platform to meet the needs of large-scale smart metering infrastructure deployments and future smart grid scenarios. The new platform includes different specific SoC implementations (ST757x, ST758x, ST759x), featuring:

• High integration: DSP PHY processor, protocol stack engine, analog front end, power-line driver, encryption and auxiliary functions in a single chip
