Third-party partners providing emulation
systems to support ST6 application development include:
CEIBO
CEIBO emulators provide real-time ST6 emulation with minimum restrictions based on dual board design that consists of the
EB-ST62 base board providing ST6 core emulation and a peripheral emulation board (PEB) that uses real
ST6 devices to emulate peripheral and I/O ports.
On-board switches and LEDs can be used for preliminary debugging and testing of the user's application,
eliminating the need for a target application board in the initial development stages.
The CEIBO real-time emulator is subject to limitations. In some cases the timing of instructions using I/Os
or peripheral devices may differ from the real device.
Softec Microsystems
The Softec
Microsystems DS62X development systems offer in-circuit,
real-time, transparent emulation and can be used to debug
both code and hardware designs. The emulators connect to a
host PC via serial connection and are driven from a common,
powerful Windows-based user interface that provides access
to all microcontroller resources and supports an unlimited
number of software breakpoints. The DS6225A is also supported
by the Raisonance software package for ST6, which includes
the RIDE integrated development
environment.
