The
STM8 (128K) evaluation board is a complete development platform
for the automotive grade STM8A (128K) 8-bit microcontrollers,
with the new STMicroelectronics' STM8 core. It provides a cost
effective, flexible and open design ideal for demonstrating
device capabilities and rapidly evaluating peripherals and features
including CAN, USART, LIN, I2C, IrDA, SPI, ADC and RTC with
backup power supply.
The board includes a wide range of hardware features for evaluating
microcontroller performance and starting development of a variety
of applications. Features include Micro SD card reader, I2C
EEPROM, RS232, inductor motor control connector, 122x32 dot-matrix
LCD, audio play and record circuit and more.
For development tool support, the board features ST Single
Wire Interface Module (SWIM) connector for in-circuit debugging
and programming with the low-cost RLink, as well as a 60-pin
connector for connection of the STice advanced emulation system.
Both tools are supported by the free ST MCU Toolset with STVD
integrated development environment and STVP programming interface.
The RLink is also supported by the Raisonance RKit development
toolset with RIDE integrated development environment, C compiler
and RFlasher programming software.
