President, Americas Region
Bob Krysiak is an Executive Vice President of STMicroelectronics and, since 2010, President of the Company’s Americas Region. He is a member of ST’s Corporate Strategic Committee.
Krysiak started his career in 1983 with INMOS, a company acquired by a predecessor to ST in 1989, and became Design Manager in the Transputer Design and Development Group. In ST he led CPU design groups that focused on 32-bit MCU cores and chip-level network infrastructure. In 1997 Krysiak became Group VP of a division that developed microcontrollers and DSP products. He managed the development of System-on-Chip products for mobile phones, disk-drive controllers, GPS receivers, set-top-boxes, and digital cameras. Soon, Krysiak became Group VP for ST's MPU and MCU developments for 8-, 16-, 32- and 64-bit and VLIW products. In 2001, he ran ST’s DVD division, where ST grew to become a market leader. In 2004, Krysiak became Marketing Director for the Home, Personal, and Communications sector. In 2005, he was appointed Executive VP of ST’s Greater China region. Today, he shares time between Boston and Santa Clara.
Bob Krysiak was born in Bristol, UK, in 1954 and holds an Electronics degree from Cardiff University and an MBA from the University of Bath.
