The STEVAL-IHI001V1 is a demonstration board designed to simulate the user interface of a modern washing machine.

The board is based on the low-cost 8-bit ST7LITE49M microcontroller equipped with an I²C bus interface, and the STLED316S serial interfaced 6-digit LED controller with key-scan.

The demonstration board is designed to work as a stand-alone application, or as a motherboard for the STEVAL-IHI002V1 daughter board, which features the STMPE1208S capacitive sensing device and can be plugged into the STEVALIHI001V1 to operate as a capacitive single touch keyboard.

This demonstration board is designed to modernize or even fully replace a mechanic keyboard. The demonstration board is based on the STMPE1208S device, a 12-bit GPIO expander with an additional 12-channel capacitive sensing sensor, which is able to interface a main MCU through I²C bus. The demonstration board is designed to work as a daughter board for the STEVAL-IHI001V1 (washing machine user interface). Once plugged in, the STEVALIHI002V1 is automatically detected by the mother board, replacing the mechanic keys by a wheel, a slider and 5 buttons.

The STEVAL-IHP002V2 demonstration board implements a PLM smartplug node which allows monitoring the energy consumption of a mains plug and controlling any kind of load in on/off mode through a relay.

The board is based on the STM32F103CB microcontroller, the ST7540 PLM module and the STPM01 mono-phase energy metering IC.

The board is designed to fit a standard "503" wall box.

The voltage, current, power, active energy and the output status can be sent to a PLM data concentrator through a power line communication network on request. Moreover, if the power consumption changes, it is sent asynchronously to the data concentrator.

The STEVAL-IHT001V2 thermostat kit provides a robust and low-cost ST solution (microcontroller and AC switches) to control refrigerators, freezers or fridge/freezer combinations.

Basic, defrost, and air circulation versions are configurable in order to address the low-end and medium-end cooling appliances market. It allows the control of a single-phase induction motor and a light bulb, and optionally, a defrost resistor and a fan, working on 220/240 VRMS, 50/60 Hz mains voltage. The thermostat kit is operational with 100/120 V RMS 50/60 Hz but the supply capacitor value must be modified.

The board can operate in an ambient temperature range from 0 °C to 60 °C.

The exact maximum temperature depends on the power of the loads. For demonstrative purposes a graphic user interface (GUI) has been developed.

The connection between the PC and STM8S microcontroller, the MCU performing thermostat regulation, is achieved through a USB bus.

As the STM8S is a low-cost MCU without an embedded USB peripheral, an additional MCU (STM32) has been used as a bridge between the PC and STM8S MCU, for demonstrative purposes only.

The purpose of the demonstration board is to promote the various types of applications where a single AC switch is controlled in on/off full-phase mode. The switch control is based on information from a single sensor evaluated by an MCU.

The STEVAL-IHT007V1 is an extension board for the STM8S Discovery Kit that provides a simple tool for control of AC loads with ACS switches in markets accepting the STM8S Discovery Kit.

The target application is small AC loads of up to 500 W, used in home appliances and home and building automation.
