 Jeffrey See is Executive Vice President and General Manager of STMicroelectronics’ Packaging and Test Manufacturing organization and has held this position since April 2006.
See started his career with SGS Microelettronica, a predecessor company to ST, at its assembly and test facility in Toa Payoh, Singapore, one of the first in the region, in 1969, and was promoted to Deputy Plant Manager in 1980. He was appointed to manage the start up of the first wafer fabrication plant in the region (Ang Mo Kio, Singapore) in 1983 and became General Manager of the front-end (wafer fabrication) operations in 1992. In 2001, See was appointed Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Central Front-End Manufacturing and General Manager of the Asia Pacific Manufacturing Operations. As one of the pioneers of Singapore’s semiconductor industry, he has played an important role in driving this high-value-added manufacturing sector to become one of the largest contributors to the region’s electronics industry.
Jeffrey See was born in Singapore in 1945. He graduated with a diploma in Telecommunications from the Singapore Polytechnic and is a Chartered Electronic Engineer from the UK Institution of Electrical Engineers.
