At STMicroelectronics (ST), we firmly believe
that it is mandatory for a TQM-driven corporation to be
at the forefront of ecological commitment, not only for
ethical and social reasons, but also for financial return,
and the ability to attract the most responsible and high-performing
people. Our "ecological vision" is to become a
corporation that closely approaches environmental neutrality.
ST has published an Environmental Decalogue with 10 environmental
commandments focused on meeting the goal of environmental
neutrality. One of the goals is to reduce the amount of
material being land-disposed by promoting recycling. The
purpose of this program is to demonstrate the continued
efforts of ST to minimize the effects of electronics manufacturing
on the environment.
