| Today’s Electric Utilities are increasingly
relying on electronic power meters to cut costs, improve reliability
and provide valuable network information. Appliance manufacturers,
switchgear companies and industrial lighting suppliers are also
adding power metering capabilities to their products to monitor
usage and comply with tougher energy consumption standards.
To address these needs, ST has introduced the STPM01 Energy Metering
IC and created a comprehensive set of single-phase and three-phase
reference designs to speed and simplify the design of an IEC/ANSI-compliant
electronic meter or embedded metering function.
