Capture the Power of ARM9 in Flash
Date / Time On - demand
Duration 60 minutes
Presented By Mark Rootz
Marketing Manager for ARM9-based MCUs/MPUs, STMicroelectronics
Overview

STMicroelectronics has become the first company to use the powerful ARM9 CPU core in a general-purpose Flash Microcontroller, opening endless possibilities to embedded system designers by making networking and other demanding applications easy and affordable.

STR9 MCUs deliver up to 96 MIPS peak performance while executing code directly from internal Flash memory, executes single-cycle DSP instructions, and includes Ethernet, USB, and CAN interfaces. These features, combined with Flash memory sizes reaching 544 Kbytes and a vast 96 Kbyte SRAM, make the STR910F an ideal MCU solution to transform embedded control applications into low-cost nodes on a local network, or on the Internet.

Seminar topics include:

  • “Super ARM7” concept and advantages of ARM9
  • Intense communications plus complex control tasks can be performed simultaneously due to key features and architecture.
  • Low-power operation, reduced need for external components, and the use of a built-in real time clock drawing only 0.3 uA.
  • Range of development tools, real time operating systems, and Ethernet TCP/IP support will simplify the design process. Example of starting a design.
  • Overview of upcoming STR9 family devices.

The seminar is suitable for both designers and decision makers alike. If you would like to find out how you can benefit from using STR9 MCUs in your products, this seminar is for you
