Does ST offer free samples?
STMicroelectronics offers free samples of selected products to engineers to help accelerate the design process. The selected products are in ACTIVE status.

Does ST offer free samples to all ST.com registered visitors?
STMicroelectronics offers the free samples service to all requesters, except the one based in the following countries: AUSTRALIA, INDONESIA, KOREA, MALAYSIA, NEW ZEALAND, PHILIPPINES, SINGAPORE, THAILAND & VIETNAM.

Why my samples request has been accepted then canceled?
STMicroelectronics reserves the right to qualify each request by accepting or rejecting the order without notice.

How much do the samples cost?
ST offers free of charge products when identified by the icon , including the shipping cost and customs fees in most of the cases. Please note, for some countries specific local regulations may required that the requestor may have to bear fees or other applicable charges.

Does ST ship samples to every country?
STMicroelectronics intends to provide this service to all countries. However, due to specific export regulations or local import limitations, ST may not be able to fulfill some of the orders. The requestor will be notified via eamil of this situation.

How often can I request samples from STMicroelectronics?
STMicroelectronics has provided a limit of maximum number per product and order. This limit depends on the product type and requestor. ST has also implemented a security control to block users who abuse of this free service.

How many samples can I request?
STMicroelectronics authorizes each requestor to enter up to 8 line items per order. If you require more samples and line items you could request a new order. Please note, STMicroelectronics may refuse orders if it determines to be appropriate.

Why ST is asking information about end application and project?
There are various reasons for which such information is needed including export regulations demand as well as the need to better understand how we can support your project.

How long will it take to ship my samples?
If your request has been accepted, ST will send you a shipment notice with all information related to your order including UPS carrier tracking number. This tracking number will allow you to follow your request. Usually the orders will be shipped within 2 working days after the order acceptance.

How long will it take to receive samples after they are shipped?
The delivery of your package may take between 1 to 5 working days. Please note, ST free samples are shipped from US.

Where can I check my sample order status?
You can check your sample request status by clicking in 'View my samples request' available in the related topics of Order Free Samples program and web page. Please note, you have to be logged in to access this information.

Will a ST sales representative contact me?
Yes, you could be contacted by a ST sales representative following up on your request. You could also contact your local ST representative by entering a request on sales support online service or using the contact information located in the Contact Us module.
