The "Best Employers in India 2002" study examined 204 companies, distributed across 15 industry groups, from which 25 were selected as leaders. ST was the only microelectronics company to be chosen. The selection was based on detailed questionnaires completed by Organization Heads, Human Resources Departments and more than 52,000 employees of the participating companies, followed by on-site audits.
