FFX is STMicroelectronics' proprietary controller technology for high-efficiency audio amplifiers. FFX is a powerful and flexible solution capable of handling both analog and digital sources, delivering a very efficient hi-fi quality digital stream to the speakers. The new devices built around the FFX controller use an all-digital approach that combines an FFX controller with a digitally-controlled power device on a single chip to both reduce cost and simplify design.
Binary, ternary and phase-shifting modulation can be set to the best design considerations, which makes FFX a fully flexible digital controller. New FFX solutions are part of the SoundTerminal™ family.
