Silicon Oscillators

Silicon OscillatorsThe STCL1xx0 and the STCLx32K are reliable, easy-to-use, low-cost, fixed-frequency silicon oscillators. Compared to ceramic and crystal resonators, silicon oscillators offer the advantages of faster start-up, smaller size and improved immunity to harsh environments (shock, vibration and humidity, for instance). Silicon oscillators provide excellent replacements to ceramic and crystal resonators in applications where cost and harsh conditions override concerns for extreme accuracy.

Key features for STCL1xx0 family:

Fixed frequencies: 10, 12, 16 MHz

Immune to shock and vibration

+/-1.5% frequency accuracy over all conditions

Fast and stable start-up: 30 µs
Push-pull CMOS compatible frequency (square wave) output
Chip-enable input, active high
Low standby current of 3 µA max.

Key features for STCLx32K family:

Fixed frequency: 32.768 Hz

Immune to shock and vibration

+/-1.0% frequency accuracy for 0 to +70 °C

+/-1.2% frequency accuracy for -30 to +85 °C

1.65 V to 1.95 V operating range (2.7 V to 3.6 V operating range available upon request)

Push-pull CMOS compatible frequency (square wave) output
Chip-enable input, active high
Low standby current of 1 µA max.
