This reference design is a class 0.5 single-phase standalone or microprocessor-based meter with tamper detection for power line systems of Vnom = 140 to 300 V RMS, Inom/Imax = 2/20 A RMS, flin = 45 to 65 Hz and Tamb = -40 to +85 °C.
The values of the measured energy in the standalone meter can be provided by a stepper motor display.
In the microprocessor-based meter, a control board with a microprocessor can drive an LCD which can be used to display the measured values of active, reactive and apparent power consumption.
Two current transformers have been used for the sensing of the current. |
