ST2378E is a ±15kV ESD-protected level translator that provides
the level shifting necessary to allow bidirectional data transfer
in a multi-voltage system. Externally applied voltages, VCC
and VL, set the logic levels on either side of the device.
It uses a design based on transmission-gates to allow data translation
in either direction (VL
VCC) on any single data line. The ST2378E accepts VL
and VCC from +1.71V to +5.5V, making it ideal for data
transfer between low-voltage ASICs/PLDs and higher voltage systems.
The ST2378E has a three-state output mode that reduces supply current
to less than 1µA, thermal short-circuit protection, and ±15kV
ESD protection on the VCC side. The ST2378E operates
at a guaranteed data rate of 13Mbps over the entire specified operating
voltage range. Within specific voltage domains, higher data rates
are possible.
Another two 4 Bit level translators are avilable in TSSOP14.
