This device is a three-terminal positive voltage regulatorwith a preset 5V output and a load driving capability of 3A, and is virtually blowout proof. It provides a high level of reliability with its current limiting, power limiting and thermal shutdown techniques and comes in the TO-3 and TO-220 packages.
