ST's new family of smart on/off controllers feature smart reset and other supervisory functions in a single integrated solution, providing power-down and power-up control to battery-operated portable devices.
ST recently introduced the first device in a growing family of overvoltage protection devices with thermal shutdown. These devices protect the system connected to the out pin against failures of the DC power supplies in accordance with the China MII communications standard YD/T 1591-2006.
