(pitch) directions, allowing control of game parameters such as
steering and braking without a physical connection to a fixed
structure.
They can also be used in any application where it is necessary
to sense acceleration or inclination in two directions, such
as antitheft systems, industrial production equipment, robotic
toys and automotive electronics.
Besides a MEMS-based linear accelerometer is useful for vibration
sensing in industrial equipment and home appliance applications:
it can detect fault conditions before evident symptoms appear
and control appliance vibrations for improved performances and
better efficiency.
