Description
This evaluation board demonstrates the functionalities of the STMAV335 and STMAV340 analog video switches and the STHDMI002A and STDVE003A digital video switches, respectively. The purpose is to demonstrate the capabilities of ST's video switches and buffers (also making an appropriate use of the signal line protection devices in all I/O Lines) for both standard analog or high speed TMDS (Transition Minimized Differential Signaling) digital signals. Demonstration of the various devices is achieved by setting the appropriate jumpers on the evaluation board. All necessary I/O interface connectors applicable for each signal format are provided. Standard interconnects available on the market can be used with the evaluation board. There is also a 2-line backlit LCD with16 characters-per-line, which displays the selection status as well as the control signals sensed by the preprogrammed microcontroller. This evaluation board can be powered by the 9 V adapter provided or by a standard 9 V power supply with a current capacity of at least 500 mA. The source does not need to be regulated. On-
