ST first to deliver 65nm CMOS Design Platform

The 65 nanometer CMOS065 Design Platform allows designers to start developing next-generation SoC products for low-power, wireless, networking, consumer and high-speed applications.

A 65nm complex system-on-chip tape-out has been completed to fully demonstrate ST's advanced technology.

ST's full 65nm library platform includes multiple process options that allow individual cells to be optimized for high performance, low power, or general purpose use. Each option shrinks 90nm products by half while improving speed up to 30% or reducing leakage by half in operation, thereby reducing power consumption.

90nm CMOS Design Platform
ST's 90nm CMOS Design Platform takes full advantage of the multiple features and modularity of 90nm process technology.

In particular, multiple threshold-based library elements can be selected at the design level and used in the same design block, providing users of the platform greater flexibility to optimize performance and power consumption.

This capability enables faster development of chips for use in high-performance and power-sensitive products.

BICMOSx, HCMOSxA and HFxCMOS Offering
ST offers 0.35µm, 0.25µm and 0.13µm BICMOSx, HCMOSxA and HFxCMOS platforms to enlarge the HCMOSx core platforms to be able to address application domains as wide as possible. All these process categories have to be seen as an extension of the core processes.

For RF and optical high-speed applications, the BiCMOS Silicon Germaniun (Si-Ge / Si-Ge:C) process option is offered.

This broad offering allows ST to support its customers in developing any type of devices, from pure digital to pure analog passing through mixed signal applications.
