ST's E-fuses (electronic fuses) are designed to replace the standard mechanical fuses generally present on DC power rails, allowing a more precise, reliable and cost-effective protection. Unlike mechanical fuses, they do not need to be replaced after a triggering event and are resettable by the user. E-fuses provide the load with overvoltage clamp, programmable start-up time and programmable overcurrent protection.
