ST's devices are supported by a complete range of high-end and low-cost debugging and programming tools. These include high-end ST emulators and low-cost in-circuit debugger/programmers. All are supported by free software development suites and C compilers.

To complement these tools, ST also provide a range of sockets, cables and adaptors in the accessories sections.

Both the MCUs and the embedded MPUs include third-party solutions that come complete with an integrated development environment and in-circuit debugger/programmer featuring a JTAG application interface.
