ST’s new family of Masterlux™ ICs includes digital controllers designed for innovative lighting and power conversion applications. Being programmable and embedding fully configurable state machines, Masterlux ICs can be easily adapted to any power conversion topology and thus the same device can drive different types of lamp, from CFL to LEDs, reducing design cycle time and costs.

The possibility of embedding a dedicated power conversion algorithm ensures the best possible operating conditions, for example, to adapt the level of light to the external environment, so saving energy.
