Passive Safety : Airbag
Airbag systems are nowadays a standard in all vehicles from small city cars to luxury SUVs increasing passenger safety. To serve these different market segments, the automotive industry is focusing in three main areas:
- Cost effectiveness (low-end vehicles)
- System complexity (advanced features and increasing number of squibs and satellites)
- High reliability standards
