ST’s low-power RF solutions are based on Bluetooth, IEEE 802.15.4 and sub-1GHz technologies.
For Bluetooth, ST offers a series of standalone modules mainly addressing industrial applications, a single-chip (STA2500D) optimized for automotive applications and a Bluetooth low-energy IC (STBLC01) optimized for Bluetooth Smart sensor applications.
The Bluetooth modules support Bluetooth V2.1 + EDR and Bluetooth V3.0 (Seattle) and feature an easy-to-use and fully qualified solution.
The SPZB32W modules are IEEE 802.15.4 modules optimized for embedded applications that require low data rate communications. The modules are based on the STM32W, which integrates a 2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.15.4-compliant transceiver together with an ARM® Cortex™-M3 embedded processor.
The SPIRIT1 RF transceiver is intended for RF wireless applications in the sub-1 GHz band. It is designed to operate in ISM and SRD frequency bands at 169, 315, 433, 868, and 915 MHz, but can also be programmed to operate at other additional frequencies.
