Due to the recent developments surrounding COVID-19, we have decided to postpone the upcoming ST hands-on training workshops. We do have plans to reschedule as many of the workshops as possible for later this year and will communicate new dates as venues are rescheduled.

The health and safety of our patrons, sponsors and employees remains top priority. Thank you for your continued interest in the STMicroelectronics workshops, and we hope to see you soon at a future training session.

Switched-mode power supplies (SMPS) are widely used to power sensitive electronic devices that require high efficiency and stable supply of power.

This training will enable those not familiar with SMPS's to understand basic switching principles, topologies and to design a complete system based on ST’s easy-to-use smart simulator tool–eDesignSuite. Best design practices will be also discussed during the training.

Who should attend:

This training is suitable for any electrical or software engineer who would like to increase their knowledge of high-voltage switching converters.

Agenda:

  • AC-DC converter topologies
  • Magnetic sizing concepts
  • Use of simulation tools*
  • Critical design parameters
  • Layout tips

*You will need to bring your own laptop computer to the training. Insper will provide free Wi-Fi access in order to connect to the eDesignSuite online simulator tool.

Date and location:

Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 | 8h30 AM to 12h00 PM
Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa
