Do you need to transmit data in a high voltage environment? Do you want to protect your data transmission? If you answered 'yes' to either of these questions, then we hope you'll join us for a one-hour webinar to discover reliable galvanic isolation solutions ideal for many industrial applications.

This webinar is geared for both new engineers as well as experienced system designers. Topics of the session will range from high level overviews of isolator technologies, to a complete design implementation using the STISO621 dual-channel digital isolator.

The demonstration session will take you through the design of a 3-phase power metering solution with shunt-based current sensors and ST digital isolator technology. This solution is a cost-effective alternative to traditional methods leveraging current transformers for isolation.

We will also introduce you to the ISOSD61, ST's new isolated sigma-delta converter. This is a very unique device that allows for high precision analog sensing directly over an isolation barrier. The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A session with our product experts.

You will learn:

  • The fundamentals of different isolator technologies
  • How and when to use isolated interface devices
  • How to use isolated interface ICs in a power metering application
  • The advantages of using digital isolators in high performance metering applications
  • Where to find tools for developing systems using isolated interfaces
