STMicroelectronics Products Featured at TU-Automotive Detroit 2016
Vehicle to Everything (V2X) technology is based on 5.9GHz Dedicated Short Range Communication, a derivative of WiFi specifically defined for fast moving objects. To deliver a complete high-quality V2X system the co-developed Autotalks V2X Communication processor is combined with ST's Multi- constellation GNSS receiver, TESEO, that builds a perfect match to ensure a precise positioning accuracy, low latency and a state-of-the-art Dead Reckoning.
Telematics has become a key segment due to rising demand for connectivity and safety features, such as emergency call and remote vehicle diagnostics. ST's Telemaco product family includes Telemaco2, an ARM?-based dual core SoC offering a powerful application processor with a secure, independent subsystem for CAN vehicle control, and a comprehensive set of peripherals including audio, making Telemaco2 a cost effective, high performance automotive grade solution.
The Automotive Inertial Module 6-axis system-in-package integrates accelerometers and gyroscopes in a single device, with benefits including accuracy, space and cost optimization. Multi-axis gyroscopes and accelerometers are used for assisted navigation and empower sophisticated dead reckoning software algorithms that calculate current position from a previously determined location updated by time, acceleration, and change of direction.
Watch our video on Advanced 3D Navigation with Sensors or go to www.st.com/gps where the ST Teseo DRAW firmware, for Dead Reckoning Automotive Way, merges GNSS satellite information with data from the vehicle's sensors such as the gyroscope, accelerometer and wheel speed sensors to calculate its location accurately in three dimensions including elevation.
ST FlightSense? is a patented technology based on Time-of-Flight (ToF) principals. It offers a fully integrated solution to provide range, presence, and object detection. Incredibly compact, low power and easy to use, FlightSense is ideal for detecting range, count, and gesture tasks.
ST Imagers are high dynamic range imagers designed specifically for the automotive market. ST Imagers offer excellent lowlight signal-to-noise-ratio, integrated Automotive Safety Integrated Level (ASIL) data included as part of each frame, lowest-in-class power consumption, flicker mitigation and ISPs based on state-of-the-art in-house algorithms. ST offers complete camera solutions, adapted to a multitude of Automotive end-applications.
Detailed information on the ST Imagers products can be found at:

The Digital Microphone Array is built around ST's compact, low-power MEMS microphone. The sensing element, capable of detecting acoustic waves, is manufactured using a specialized silicon micromachining process to produce audio sensors. The IC interface is manufactured using a CMOS process that allows designing a dedicated circuit able to provide a digital signal interface. Microphone spacing of 3mm supports advanced functions such as beamforming, localization and automatic speech recognition (ASR) in addition to simplifying the implementation of full in-cab noise cancellation.
