Increasing Power Density in Electric Vehicle Converters
Discover how to achieve optimal efficiency in electric vehicle power subsystems using a unique family of automotive-grade high-voltage power MOSFETsWednesday, June 9th, 2021 | 2:00 pm Eastern Time |
Join us for a 1-hour webinar to learn the basics of power subsystems in electric vehicles (EV) and how high voltage auto-grade power MOSFETs from STMicroelectronics can optimize their efficiency.
Part of the STPOWER portfolio, ST's high voltage power MOSFETs offer breakdown voltages from 400 V to 1200 V and benefit from ST's MDmesh™ super-junction technology to achieve robust performance and increased power density.
The session will begin with a discussion of MDmesh technology and roadmap, followed by the positioning of silicon MOSFETs in EV power electronic subsystems. We will then explore ST's range of automotive-grade discrete & integrated MOSFET solutions and advanced packaging technology.
By the end of this webinar you will have a good understanding of electric vehicle power electronic subsystems, and the performance advantages of using MDmesh super-junction MOSFETs in power designs for EV on-board chargers (OBC), battery management systems (BMS), and high-voltage DC-DC converters.
You will learn:
- About the latest in ST super-junction MDmesh MOSFET technology and product evolution
- How MDmesh MOSFETs enable the design of highly efficient converters for electric vehicles
- The fundamentals of EV power electronics subsystems (OBC, BMS, high voltage DC-DC)
There will be a live Q&A session at the end of the webinar where ST’s experienced engineers will be available to answer your questions.
