Location: Virtual
Join STMicroelectronics online for the SPIE Photonics West 2021 Digital Forum. On-demand paper and poster presentations* become available 24 hours a day starting March 6. Our technology experts will be available live in the ST Marketplace to answer all your AR, MEMS Micro Mirrors designs, Laser Beam Scanner devices, LiDAR and Time-of-Flight questions starting March 8 from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. PT. You can also send messages that we will follow up on as soon as the online hours open.
The Roadmap to Next-Gen EV & AV virtual conference will offer vehicle designers building blocks to help successfully develop power efficient, advanced EVs with automated features. Keynotes, panels and lectures will shed light on the pitfalls and challenges facing new vehicle designs and suggest strategies and solutions for car designers.
Presentation hours:
CEST/Paris time: 14:30 –17:30
EST/New York time: 8:30 am -11:30 am
Panel session with ST Participants:
How will wideband gap semiconductors move EV forward?
Date: March 23
Time: 15:50 (CEST) / 10:50am (EST)
Abstract: Electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) are looking for solutions to power conversion efficiency. They include several powertrain stages. Wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductors, such as silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN), provide superior performance compared to silicon: higher efficiency and switching frequency, higher operating temperature, and higher operating voltage.
Be sure to check out the ST virtual booth showcasing some of our newest technology enabling both Electric and Autonomous vehicles. The exhibition starts on March 23rd at 13:00 (CEST) and will be open during the whole event.
