The Roadmap to Next-Gen EV & AV virtual conference will offer vehicle designers building blocks to help successfully develop power efficient, advanced EVs with automated features. Keynotes, panels and lectures will shed light on the pitfalls and challenges facing new vehicle designs and suggest strategies and solutions for car designers.

Abstract: Electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) are looking for solutions to power conversion efficiency. They include several powertrain stages. Wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductors, such as silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN), provide superior performance compared to silicon: higher efficiency and switching frequency, higher operating temperature, and higher operating voltage.
