Break The Bias In STEM

ARE YOU READY TO BREAK THE BIAS IN STEM?

As the world celebrates International Women’s Day on March 8, ST will be organizing a week-long Break the Bias in STEM* event covering the various regions and organizations across the company.

#BreakTheBiasInSTEM is aimed at debunking prejudice related to women’s role and contribution in Science & Technology and at demonstrating STEM industries need more diverse talents to create a better future, through examples from our experience at STMicroelectronics.

Even if there is no real ability difference, in higher education, only 35% of STEM students are women around the world, many of them pursuing natural sciences rather than ICT-related applied sciences**.

At ST, as a global leader in the electronics industry, we believe we can make a valuable contribution to inspiring the next generation to explore STEM-related careers, and that science and technology need everybody’s perspectives, including women’s, to create a sustainable and inclusive future.

A series of online seminars and face-to-face meetings (where possible) dedicated to schools will take place at ST locations around the globe.
