ソリューション概要

This ultra-low power Bluetooth low energy solution, powered by ARM Cortex-M4 (STM32L4R9)  running @ 120 MHz, offer Environmental, Audio and Motion Sensors capability

Environmental sensors on board as Temperature (STTS751), Humidity  (HTS221) and Pressure (LPS22HH) sensors are used to monitor goods status and stock management, and for instance environmental threshold detection could be used to activate condition or the de-humidification system of the container.

Motion sensors, as the Accelerometer (LIS2DW12), are used to detect motion, orientation, vibration, crash/shocks events, freefall. Moreover, ST sensors could embed inside the sensors the Machine Learn Core capability (LSM6DSOX), combined with improved accuracy, they offer low power solutions to monitor also more complex Vehicle motion, to track Boats, for Airplane mode detection.

Barometer Pressure sensor (LPS22HH) on board could be also used to detect altitude variations or to detect the airplane take-off and landing, useful for example to turn on and off the radio transmission during the flight.

This solution is offering a complete example on how to create an end to end Bluetooth low energy asset tracking application, providing also firmware, mobile app and web cloud dashboard demo.

    STM32L4R9 - ultra low power microcontroller

    Ultra-low-power microcontrollers family, STM32L4+ Series, based on the high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M4 32-bit RISC core, operate at a frequency of up to 120 MHz.

    LIS2DW12 - high perfromance 3 -axis accelerometer

    This ultra-low-power, high-performance, three-axis linear accelerometer records when tracked assets are subject to sharp acceleration events suchas falling, sliding, and impacts or collisions.

    LSM6DSOX - low power inertial sensor
    • This ultra-low power and high accuracy iNEMO 6DoF inertial module provides critical motion data for tracking objects and detecting events. Sensor fusion algorithms can combine data from several sensors to deliver complex and high value monitoring information.

     HTS221 - high accuracy humidity sensor

    This high accuracy sensor gathers humidity and temperature data for asset tracking applications and allows critical threshold values to be monitored, which is especially important in applications such as cold chain shipments.

  • All Features

    • Application is Running on Cortex-M4 core features a single-precision floating-point unit (FPU) and implements a full set of DSP (digital signal processing) instructions and a memory protection unit (MPU) which enhances the application’s security.
    • High levels of device integration, miniaturization and ultra-low power consumption render the nodes compact and portable with extended battery lifetime.
    • Flexibility to change duty cycle and sensor parameters stored in the memory, and threshold settings to wake-up the system using an appropriate app on an BLE-enabled mobile device.
    • MEMS environmental and motion sensors provide highly accurate data for asset tracking scenarios such as cold chain applications, Humidity accuracy: ±3.5%RH and temperature accuracy with 0.5%
    • On board there is a system-in-package featuring, a 3D digital accelerometer and a 3D digital gyroscope, with Machine Learning Core, Finite State Machine and advanced Digital Functions,  boosting performance at 0.55 mA in high-performance mode and enabling always-on low-power features for an optimal motion experience for the consumer.
    • On the board also the Analog components are ST products: as the battery charger and management and the power conversion to supply the different elements on the boards. Plus, the signal condition as OpAmps and comparators and multiple ESD protections.
