Embedded World 2018 - STM32 Fan Zone

​At Embedded World 2018, our Fan Zone was buzzing with innovative applications enabled by our STM32 products and applications. We had 28 demo pods with an area dedicated to Education, one to STM32 Experts and two to STM32 Makers featuring drones, robots, digital jewelry, AI, robots and more.


Visitors could interact in various scenarios with the SPOON robot by Spoon.ai that is based on a KUKA robotic arm with STM32 MCUs.  The Tracking system from openRTLS shows two lamps following a football around the zone. Makers could register to get a number of development boards at two kiosks in the Fan Zone and one in the demo area

Here you can interact with an extraordinary display or get touchscreen technology on your laptop thanks to the new AirBar. Photon is a toy robot that teaches logical thinking and programming to young children

EW18: 2 Reasons Intesens IoT Products Use an STM32L0 to Innovate

It is our privilege to present another partner in our STM32 Fan Zone, Intesens. The French company specializes in maintenance solutions that use sub-gigahertz networks, such as Sigfox or LoRa, to facilitate industrial applications, and although their portfolio of products is quite vast, we’ll focus on only two devices for the sake of brevity and pertinence: the IDIAG Battery and the IDIAG Operate. Intesens will also showcase both of them during Embedded World, and we hope this blog post will drive you to go see their demos in person because they ultimately represent one of the most original IoT applications on the market today, and attendees will be hard pressed to find something quite like it. Read more

EW18: The World’s Most Compact VTOL Drone in the STM32 Fan Zone

We are thrilled to present one of our STM32 Fan Zone partners, Quantum Systems. Among other things, this German company specializes in the development and production of two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV): Tron and Trinity. The former has four motors whereas the latter has three, which determines their performance and the type of payload they can support. Tron can travel at a maximum speed of 160 km/h (100 miles/h), accept a payload of 2 kg (4.41 lbs.), and reach a maximum flight time of 90 minutes, while Trinity cruises at 60 km/h (37 miles/hour) for 60 minutes and can carry a payload of 500 g.
