ST Recruiting Privacy Terms (Privacy Terms)
Introduction
The Privacy Terms are intended to describe the practices ST employs when collecting, using, and handling personal information about you in connection with our online and offline recruitment activities.
Please note that ‘ST’ is used to refer to any legal entities of the ST corporate group. Reading these Privacy Terms, you will notice that we also use ‘we’ to refer to ST.
If you have any questions or feel that your concerns have not been addressed by these Privacy Terms, or you just want to talk to us, feel free to contact us at privacy@st.com
1. Expressing an interest in working for ST
This section explains how your information will be used when you submit information via this site.
The provision of your personal data is optional: however please be aware that your refusal to provide us with your personal data or to process them thereafter may result in the data controller not being able to carry out any activity related to your recruitment in relation to this online environment.
2. Who can access your information?
Access to your information is limited by need. All recruitment staff within the ST corporate group worldwide have access to your profile on the database and can match your details to current vacancies.
We may need to share your information with third parties but only for the following reasons:
- When it is necessary to involve a third-party service provider to facilitate or extend recruitment services.
- When explicitly requested by you.
- As required by a court order or any other legal or regulatory requirement.
ST does not collect or compile personal data or information obtained by this site for dissemination or sale to outside parties for consumer marketing purposes or host mailings on behalf of third parties.
3. Why do we need your information?
Your information will be used by ST for administering the global recruitment program of its corporate member. This will include planning and monitoring recruitment campaigns and notifying you from time to time of current vacancies.
4. Your personal profile and application progress.

The Candidate Area requires a valid e-mail address as a login, along with other information, some of which is mandatory. Mandatory information will be marked accordingly. Your email address allows us to communicate with you if your qualifications and/or preferences match job opportunities, or if you opt to receive automated notifications of job postings at any member of the ST corporate group.
Your personal profile also makes it possible for you to access the recruitment section of the site to monitor progress of your application or amend your details should you wish to do so.
5. Applying for a job outside of your home country
If you wish to apply for a job in a country outside of your home country, we may need to ask you questions that are specific to the country where the job is located. These questions will be relevant and necessary for the job advertised and consistent with our legal obligations.
