Accurate sensing of current is central to enhancing application safety. Controlling the current within set boundaries avoids overheating and short-circuits. Current measurement is also an essential part of energy metering.

The main features of our growing current-sense amplifier IC portfolio are:

current sensing

  • Up to 70 V line monitoring
  • Integrated solutions (for example, inclusion of EMI filtering on output) for faster design times and a reduced BOM
  • Robust devices that do not require external protection
  • Automotive-grade qualified current sense amplifiers

High-voltage, bidirectional current-sense amplifiers

Able to sense very low drop voltages as low as 10 mV, our TSC2010, TSC2011 and TSC2012 high-voltage bidirectional current sense amplifiers can sense the current thanks to a shunt resistor over a wide range of common mode voltages from –20 to + 70 V, regardless of the supply voltage. Available with an amplifier gain of 20 V/V ( TSC2010), 60 V/V ( TSC2011) and 100 V/V ( TSC2012).
