High-intensity discharge (HID) lamps offer better lumen efficiency, color rendering and focusing capability as well as longer life compared to low-pressure fluorescent lamps. Their superior performance makes them popular for hotel and restaurant lighting, shops, stadiums, street lighting, industrial and workshop lighting, office and home lighting as well as vehicle headlights.

We have a range of analog and digital controllers and STM32 microcontrollers that together with power MOSFETs and high-voltage gate drivers can help design high-efficiency converters for HID lighting applications.
