ST25TN series NFC tags

Near Field Communication (NFC) Type 2 tags and labels operate in the high-frequency (HF) 13.56 MHz range and comply with the NFC-A Technology specification from the NFC Forum. The data stored in these Type 2 tags and labels is transferred to NFC smartphones or professional NFC/RFID HF readers that support the NFC Data Exchange Format (NDEF).

ST25TN Type 2 NFC Tag chips are certified by the NFC Forum and comply with the industrial ISO/IEC 14443-A specifications, providing interoperability across NFC implementations in NFC smartphones and NFC/RFID HF readers.

A competitive consumer-oriented solution with Augmented NDEF feature

The cost-effective ST25TN Type 2 NFC Tag IC complies with ISO/IEC14443 Type A and NFC Forum type 2 tag specifications, operates at the fast baud rate of 106kbits/s, and embeds the TruST25 digital signature, which ensures tag authenticity and defends brands against counterfeiting.

The ST25TN series offers tags with 512-bit up to 1.6-Kbit user memory and includes a contextual automatic NDEF messaging service. This Augmented NDEF technology allows the tag to respond with dynamically generated content after a simple "tap" by end users with their NFC mobile phones.

A mass market approach with wide application potential

The ST25TN series can communicate with Android/iOS NFC mobile phones and NFC Forum compliant readers, offering a very wide range of possibilities across various consumer engagement, product information, and smart labelling scenarios.

The highly cost-effective ST25TN series targets multiple applications such as gaming, clothing & footwear, consumer packaged goods, sports industry, wine & spirits, and represents an excellent balance between cost and performance.
