Cyclone FX Universal and Cyclone FX ARM
PEmicro's Cyclone FX programmers are advanced in-circuit standalone programmers that support various processor families. Standalone Programming allows the ability to launch projects using a single button press or easy-to-use touchscreen interface without a PC, or automatically executed from a PC via the automated control SDK. The FX model has extra features like count/date limitations, test capabilities, and high-speed programming of encrypted projects.

Top-End Speed And Large Storage
The Cyclone FX model features very fast programming speeds (shift rates up to 75Mbit/s), a large amount of internal storage (1GB+), as well as SDHC memory card storage.
Programming Image Encryption and Limitations
Users can encrypt their programming images with a private ImageKey such that only their Cyclones, provisioned with the same ImageKey, can decrypt and use those images. In addition, limitations can be included within the image itself that restrict programming counts and date ranges, to help prevent unauthorized programming.
Cyclone FX programmers can program and run a series of custom test applications in the target processor before final programming to test and calibrate the target. Failing the test prevents final programming, and successful tests can generate data to be programmed into the target.
Automated Control SDK and Console
PC-based SDK, Console, and GUI Control allow great flexibility for automated control of as many Cyclones as needed in a single or gang programming configuration.
Target-Specific Dynamic Data
Target-specific dynamic data can be added for each target via the SDK and Console from a local PC. Dynamic data is overlaid on top of the Programming Image data. Dynamic data also comes from internal serial numbers, results of test applications run during programming, and optionally from external servers (even remote ones via PEcloud).

The Cyclone supports two types of programming objects:
1) Stand-Alone Programming Images: Images contain all data, scripts, and algorithms necessary to program a specific hardware configuration with a specific set of data. There are no external dependencies outside of the image.
2) Cloud-Connected Programming Jobs: Jobs are similar to Programming Images except they use the Cyclone’s network connection to request programming permission from and report results to a user’s Virtual Factory in the PEcloud. This gives the user the ability to start, stop, update, create, and monitor their programming jobs in use on their Cyclones anywhere in the world on the cloud.pemicro.com website.
