一般的な高効率設計には、遷移モード(TM)で動作する力率補正回路(PFC)、さらにフライバック、フォワード、またはハーフブリッジLLC共振ステージなどが含まれます。

STは、幅広い高電圧MDmesh™パワーMOSFETと低電圧STripFETパワーMOSFETや標準的な電界効果整流ダイオード(FERD)を提供しています。また、各種のPFC、PWM 1次コントローラ、シングルチップのコンボ・コントローラや、さまざまなハードウェアとソフトウェアの評価および開発ツール(リファレンス設計を含む)などの提供により、高効率の小型アダプタの開発をサポートしています。
