Veridify's Secure Boot/Secure Firmware Update methods leverage the company's Walnut Digital Signature Algorithm to validate the contents of the firmware before it is allowed to run.
The MCU runs the signature verification-side of WalnutDSA.
The firmware is signed offline by a trusted party (usually the creator of the firmware). SecureRF provides a signing app and SDK for Linux and Windows.
Veridify's Secure Boot/Secure Firmware Update methods are resistant to all known quantum attacks.
Key features:
• Fast firmware validation allowing even the lowest-resource MCU to boot in
• Verification code requires only 6K bytes of ROM/1K RAM
• Underlying cryptographic method provides either 128 or 256-bits of security
• Quantum resistant
