GaN technology brings efficiency in LED power supply systems

The EVLMG4L-IBCKFL evaluation board, based on the MasterGaN4L advanced power system-in-package,  makes  it easier to build power supplies for LED lighting. Combining a high-performance LED controller and high-voltage converter, the board is capable of driving one high-power LED string with a precise and adjustable (dimmable) current. The superior efficiency and frequency performance of GaN technology allows the board to eliminate the heatsink, translating into immediate benefits in weight and size reduction. The highly efficient and compact board facilitates the implementation of small and lightweight solutions for applications up to 500 W.

High power inverse buck converter for dimmable LED applications, based on the MASTERGAN4L. It can deliver up to 1.5 A of continuous current and reach up to 500 W output power at 350 Vdc.
