Matter device attestation: What it is, and how security is key to smart home device interoperability
Matter raises the standard of trust for connected devices. To join a Matter network, each device must carry a unique Device Attestation Certificate (DAC). For device makers, this requires generating secure credentials and provisioning them into a secure chip within a secure environment.
ST offers a Matter credential service that helps bring smart home products to market faster.
What is ST MatterConnect?
ST MatterConnect is a credential personalization service for eligible ST secure chips.
ST manages the secure generation and provisioning of Matter credentials at its secure and certified manufacturing sites. Device makers receive ST solutions preloaded with certificates and keys needed for Matter device attestation.
