The Embedded Vision Summit is the premier conference for innovators building products with computer vision and edge AI. The program highlights the latest ST technical insights, emerging business trends, and advances in vision and perceptual AI - with a strong focus on practical, deployable solutions.
Solutions Presented at Embedded Vision Summit
Time of Flight L9CX
Discover ST’s brand‑new VL53L9CX dToF 3D LiDAR module: a tiny all‑in‑one depth sensor working on the new STM32 N6 MCU, delivering a 54x42 resolution, with up to 2.3k zones and ranging distances up to 9m up to 100fps. The demo displays a live, high‑density depth map in real time, showing how to add precise spatial awareness in a very compact form factor. Ideal for robotics, drones AR/VR, people detection and counting, smart buildings, and more.
Smart Rear View Camera
The Smart Rear-View Camera demo features the STM32N6 MCU and E2iP Edge AI Sensing Kit to detect and segment traffic in real-time. This advanced system ensures cyclist safety by streaming blind spot alerts directly to a phone, making it ideal for battery-powered, smart mobility solutions.
STM32U3B Facial Presence Detection
This demo features our freshly introduced STM32U3B with DSP and AI accelerator running always‑on presence/face detection with ST low power VD55G4 camera sensor, while remaining in a very low average power budget (2.8mW for the VD55G4 sensor and 3.7mW for the STM32U3 MCU).
STM32N6 Face Identification with EmbedUR
EmbedUR combined edge AI with the STM32N6 MCU to deploy a full facial recognition pipeline directly on-device, eliminating cloud dependency and the need for external hardware accelerators. Registration is possible directly on the device itself or a mobile companion app, enabling quick onboarding and seamless, secure transmission of facial data to the an embedded smart lock for example. All matching and management run locally for instant access and reliable protection.
