ST introduces the new VIPerGaN flyback converter series. This device features a proprietary technique enabling silent operation across all load levels. Engineered for compact, high-efficiency USB-PD chargers, fast battery chargers, and auxiliary power supplies, these converters leverage GaN technology to offer unique advantages in performance and user experience, eliminating audible noise. The VIPerGaN50W and VIPerGaN65W converters integrate a 700 V GaN power transistor, and quasi-resonant PWM control IC in a single QFN 5x6 package to deliver efficient power levels up to 85W.
